In this language, the twelve notes of the chromatic scale are denoted "A" to "L".

"Until about two years ago, when I realized that the language of Solresol had been invented over a hundred years earlier, I knew of no other language that uses musical pitches to form words. I looked upon this as an opportunity to create something unique." Bruce Koestner.

      Basic Quenya vocabulary Status

Quenya, a.k.a. the Ancient Speech, or High-elvish is probably the most prominent Elvish language from the Middle Earth novels by the late Southafrican writer Tolkien. It is regarded as a very euphonic language.

Sindarin, or the Noble Tongue, was spoken by the Grey elves in the novels by the late Southafrican writer Tolkien. It is a language of Celtic reminiscence.
